NOTV has developed in cooperation with Beamsystems Amsterdam a highly sophisticated VJ touch control system. There were many systems available on the market, but none of them fullfilled the critical needs of Peter Greenaway: realtime video triggering, multi (5) channel, neglectable playout delay, high image quality. And last but not least: being able to select clips out of a large clip database (1000 loops), ordered in clear loop banks. Playout as 5 independent projections, or combined in multiple channel synched projections.
The propriatary inhouse developed system complied with all these requirements, serving "realtime image conductor" Greenaway a robust and flexible system to bring his live cinema performance more than 35 times successfully all over the world.

 | Oh yeah! It''s here, the DVD turntable! We think this technology will be a huge boost for the urban visual music culture. We can't wait for the first artists to start using the DVJ-1 to mix our NoTV DVD''s. That's why we want to use rigfest to present it's specs to you. This baby's release date is set for spring 2004, but hopefully we'll be able to get some hands on experience with this table, using it on our international visual music tour, so we can give you a detailed report of our findings... |

 On Saturday September 17 2005 starphotographer and director Anton Corbijn was NoTV's special guest at the premiere party of a new series of dvd's by the Directors Label hosted by NoTV at CNCDNC in the VJ temple "11".
In "11" (Amsterdam) 4 albums in the series of famous directors were released during the audio/visual club evening CNCDNC.
After three succesful releases by Spike Jonze, Michel Gondry and Chris Cunningham, now StÈphane Sednaoui, Mark Romanek, Jonathan Glazer and Anton Corbijn were featured. The four DVDs wee released on September 25, and celebrated on September 17!
The evening started at 22:00 with short films and interviews, mixed by NoTV (NL) and ADDICTIVE TV (UK). Together with Anton Corbijn an audiovisual mix was created of bands like Depeche Mode, The Killers, Joy Division, Nick Cave, Mercury Rev, Front 242, Nine Inch Nails and Sonic Youth, of which you can find clips on the 4 DVDs.
The audience enjoyed an explosive premiere and a feast of recognition (Corbijn created e.g. the clips for U2 and Nirvana), with golden oldies and a new palet of new wave and art-pop. Though initially we were not sure if Anton Corbijn would really climb the VJ booth, Anton amazed the audience by proving he mastered the Pioneer DVJ-X1 DVD scratch table within minutes..
